Executive Summary
The SSI is a valid and reliable measure of student opinion, and the sampling technique used assures that results are representative of the whole student body and can be compared over time.
The SSI is sensitive to targeted changes in inputs and processes, based on comparison of 2004 and 2006 results.
The general areas on campus that matter most to Lincoln College Lincoln (LCL) students, in order of importance, are
- Academic Advising
- Instructional Effectiveness
- Concern for the individual
Most factors identified as institutional strengths could be grouped in the following areas:
- "We Care" or "You’re not alone here"
- Recruitment and Financial Aid
- Committed Faculty
- Registration Effectiveness
Most factors identified as institutional challenges could be grouped into the following areas:
- Campus Climate
- Academic Environment
- "Value Added" Attributes
