LINCOLN, IL — Lincoln College alumnus and former Lynx Baseball player, Brian Snitker, has been named Interim Manager for the Atlanta Braves Baseball Team.

Snitker graduated from Lincoln College in 1975 and played baseball under the direction of former Lincoln College Baseball coach, Chuck Lindstrom.

Lindstrom remembers Snitker as a standout player.

“Brian was a very good catcher who really understood the game. He took the time to study the game and was a good hitter for his position,” remembers Lindstrom.

Snitker came from a great high school program in Macon, IL and Lindstrom knew Snitker had something special.

“As his college career at Lincoln progressed, Brian proved to be a Division I athlete and was recruited to play at the University of New Orleans.”

When asked about Snitker’s new interim manager position, Lindstrom noted, a lot new managers are former catchers and Snitker’s experience and knowledge of the game will serve him well in his new role.

Lincoln College is proud to have had a small role in Snitker’s baseball career and wish him success.
