LINCOLN, IL — Lincoln College Music Department proudly presents “Sesquicentennial: Music from the 1860’s” in recognition of the founding of Lincoln College 150 years ago. Performances are Friday, December 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 5 at 2 p.m. in the Johnston Center for Performing Arts on the Lincoln College campus. Admission is $2 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

The Chorale, Chamber Ensemble, and soloists will perform music from the 1860’s including: “Battle Hymn of the Republic”, “Down in the River to Pray”, and seasonal favorites like “Angels We Have Heard on High”.

The concert is directed by Laurie Lewis, Assistant Professor of Vocal Music.
