LC Coach Mark Tippett:  I was quite pleased with our team’s performance this weekend.  We played very competitively against Lincoln Land and Parkland which are among the strongest teams in the NJCAA this year.  We showed a huge amount of improvement over the first time we played Parkland in early September.  We were able to win a set from them this time which is something very few teams have been able to do this year.  On Saturday we took care of business against two opponents we had beaten before, and I was happy with the energy we brought to the court as well as the overall quality of our play.  Each member of our team contributed to our success this weekend, and I saw some great teamwork on our side of the net.  I am confident we will continue to improve our level of play as we get closer to the postseason.

Lincoln is off until Thursday evening when they will host the Millikin University JV team for a 6:00 pm match.  The match will be the team’s annual Volley for the Cure night in order to raise funds for research in the fight against breast cancer.
