2012 Student Spotlight Rose Stevens, Business Administration Student.

Lincoln College-Normal senior Rose Stevens offers this advice to her fellow students: “Never give up on yourself,” words she herself took to heart resulting in her completion of the requirements for a bachelor’s degree in business this coming May of 2012.
Rose began her educational journey when her husband, Josh, decided to go back to college to complete his degree, explaining, “I was not planning on continuing my education, but my competitive spirit kicked in when my husband decided to go.” Read more about Rose. (PDF 92KB)

Jamie Kilpatrick Honored As Student Laureate. Each fall, an outstanding senior from each of the four-year degree-granting institutions of higher learning in Illinois is awarded the Student Lincoln Academy Medallion and thereby becomes a Student Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois. Student Laureates are honored for their overall excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities. This year, Lincoln College’s Student Laureate is Jamie Kilpatrick of Normal, IL. Read More.

SHRM Review Course Recognized for Excellence. The Holmes Corporation, a vendor who coordinates review courses for the Society for Human Resource Management, awarded Lincoln College Normal a certificate of recognition at their annual corporate conference for achieving a 100 % pass rate by all students sitting for the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) exam in the Spring 2010 exam window. Students who sat for the exam completed the SHRM Learning System review course with the college prior to sitting for the examination.
