What do you like best about the Midwest College of Cosmetology at LCN?
The Midwest College of Cosmetology offers a unique experience for Cosmetology students because of our affiliation with LCN! MCC is located on the LCN campus, so our Cosmetology students are able to live on-campus, receive generous financial aid packages and take free classes toward an Associate’s Degree through LCN – a college experience with a certification program!

What do you like best about being an Admissions Counselor?
It’s similar to ‘matchmaking’- I enjoy the challenge of ensuring an accurate student-college match. It’s extremely important that LCN is the best choice for our students and that our students are the best ‘fit’ for our college.

Advice for students/college search tip:
Visit the campus…multiple times, if needed! All campuses will feel foreign at first, in order to fairly evaluate a college you really need to ‘try it out.’ So, on your visit(s), test out the computer lab, check out the on-campus apartments, meet our staff/faculty/student population and really get a good feel for the MCC and LCN lifestyle.

What are some of your favorite things to do in Bloomington/Normal?
Out of 175+ dining establishments, 57+ pastimes, 41+ shops, 1 zoo/aquarium, and a number of spas, landmarks, and golf courses…it’s hard for me to choose!
