Residual ACT Testing
Residual ACT testing is available for students who are enrolled, have been admitted, or are in the process of applying to Lincoln College-Normal. Scores on the Residual ACT are valid only at Lincoln College and cannot be transferred to any other institution.

Scheduled testing dates for the 2012-2013 academic year are listed below:

- October 19, 2012, 1 p.m.
- December 14, 2012, 1 p.m.
- February 15, 2013, 1 p.m.
- March 22, 2013, 1 p.m.
- April 19, 2013, 1 p.m.
- May 17, 2013, 1 p.m.
- June 21, 2013, 1 p.m.
- July 19, 2013, 1 p.m.
What is Residual ACT Testing?
The Residual ACT is a 4-part, multiple choice, timed exam which takes approximately 4 hours to complete. The officially allotted time for each section of the exam will be observed as indicated below.
English
- 75 questions, 45 minutes
- Covers usage/mechanics and rhetorical skills
Mathematics
- 60 questions, 60 minutes
- Covers algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
Reading
- 40 questions, 35 minutes
- Includes reading 4 passages and answering questions on the material
Science
- 40 questions, 35 minutes
- Measures skills required in the natural sciences, including biology, chemistry, physics, earth/space sciences
Additional Information
- Appointments are required.
- A $31 fee must be paid prior to taking the exam.
- Use of a non-programmable calculator is permitted.
- Pencils and scratch paper are provided.
- No food, drink, outside reading materials, or cell phone usage is permitted throughout the test.
- A short break is provided after the first two sections of the test.
