Study Smarter with The Academic Support Center

Our mission is to provide complete services and programs that will empower students and link them with the resources they need to achieve both academic and personal goals. The ASC is available to all Lincoln College students free of charge. Academic assistance is available for all subject areas including walk-in hours for math and writing, various study groups as well as private, one-on-one appointments.

 

Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Friday. 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Lynx Learning Lab (Drop-In – no appointment needed)

Learning Specialists are available to assist with homework, brainstorm topic ideas, research, test prep, study strategies, writing assignments and so much more!

 

Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

 

Math Skills Lab (Drop-In – no appointment needed)

Designed for students enrolled in MAT 091 and MAT 095. Learning Specialists and Peer Tutors are available to work on specific concepts, check homework and provide practice opportunities to help you master the math!

College-Level Math (Drop-In – no appointment needed)

The ASC provides Drop-in tutoring opportunities for college-level math or you may contact the ASC to schedule a meeting with a math tutor. Learning Specialists and Peer Tutors staff the drop-in math tutoring.

Writing Center

Located in the McKinstry Library, Layman Classroom, Learning Specialists are available to work with students at any stage of the writing process.

 

Sunday Through Thursday, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm McKinstry Library

 

Drop-In Science Lab

This fall, the Academic Support Center will offer a drop-in tutoring opportunity for students enrolled in gen ed science courses. Students may simply drop-in every Thursday @ 9:00 to hone their science skills, prepare for exams, and learn specific study strategies for science. Studies have shown, that students who attend weekly study groups improve their grade and successfully complete the coursework. http://Science Drop-in fa2019

Every Thursday 9:00 am in the Academic Success Center GH 104

Study Strategies

Professional tutors work with students to master textbook material in any class. We will assist you in organizing your notes, outlining chapters, developing new study strategies, time management, and preparing for exams. Attend the Lynx Learning Lab or schedule a one-on-one appointment with a tutor for assistance with Study Strategies.
