For more than 150 years Lincoln College has been empowering students to reach their full potential. Our scholarship donors believe their gifts are investments in the lives of students who will go on to become leaders in their communities, professions, and industries.

During the 2016/2017 Academic Year, Lincoln College awarded more than $207,000 total in Annual and Endowed Scholarships to 115 students! The Annual and Endowed scholarships are open to all full-time current and future Lincoln College students in a traditional program.

Jovalle Mahon is one of the hundreds of scholarship recipients at Lincoln College. She says earning a scholarship has helped her have the time to focus on school and gain leadership experience while at Lincoln College

“My first semester at Lincoln College, I was shy and didn’t know anybody. I was part of a class cohort so I really got to know my classmates and I had extra academic support which helped me be successful. I got involved with the Student Activities Board which brought me out of my shell.”

“By my sophomore year, my confidence had grown. I participated in Chorale and theatre, helped plan student activities and participated in community events. I served as secretary of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and received the 2016 PTK Member Award.”

But, that was not the only leadership role Jovalle would take on at Lincoln College. In the Spring of 2016 she was elected Student Government President.

“The faculty and staff—the whole LC community—sticks together as the Lynx. As a student, I don’t think I would have had this level of support and found this sense of community at a larger college.”

Jovalle is earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Studies and will graduate in May of 2018. After graduation, she plans to apply to law school.
