If a member of the Lincoln College community has reason to believe that any student who resides in on –campus housing is missing, he or she should contact the Office of Student Services immediately at 217-735-7302, or the
LC Security at 217-737-4477. The Office of Student Services will then notify the Coordinator of Campus Security and the Dean of Students Services. At that point the Lincoln College Missing Student Protocol (see below) will be
implemented and an investigation will be initiated. The Dean of Student Services (or designee) will lead the investigation.
After investigating a missing student report, if Lincoln College determines that the student has been missing for 24 hours, the College will notify the Lincoln Police Department and the student’s emergency contact and/or parent/guardian no later than 24 hours after the student is determined to be missing. If the missing student is under the age of 18 and is not an emancipated individual, the College will notify the student’s parent or legal guardian immediately after it has been determined that the student is missing.
