Lincoln College’s textbook policies differ dependent upon the student’s program of attendance at the College.
Traditional, 16-week Program Students (Lincoln Campus)
Students attending on the Lincoln, IL campus participate in a textbook rental program. No additional costs are assessed to the student as the associated costs are considered a component of tuition. Students should visit the Lincoln campus Bookstore with a copy of their final schedule in order to receive their textbooks. Because the textbooks are considered rentals, students should refrain from marking, highlighted, or otherwise permanently defacing the copies provided. All textbooks rented are due back to the Bookstore once the student’s final exams for a term are completed.
Accelerated Bridge to Education (ABE) & New Normal Students (Normal site & all other ABE sites)
Student attending any of the locations served by the Accelerated Bridge to Education program are responsible for personally obtaining copies of any texts required for their coursework. Lists of required textbooks are prepared on a per-session basis and uploaded to the College’s Canvas Learning Management System. Each textbook list reflects all of the required materials for each course being offered that session organized by Course Catalog number and section. The listing details the Title, Edition, Author(s), Publisher, and ISBN number(s) in order to clearly indicate the exact text being required. Student may use any provider they feel appropriate for their purchase.
