Notes from Coach Massena:

The Lincoln College men’s soccer team defeated Danville by the score of 4-1 on Tuesday.  Lincoln opened the scoring when Kyle Walton hit a 35 yard shot that went past an outstretched keeper.   The half would end with the score 1-0.  Lincoln had eight shots half to Danville’s one.  At halftime we talked about our combination play around the goal and the boys did great coming out and scoring 2 goals in the 10 minutes of the second half.

Lincoln would get a fourth goal when Jason Velasquez dribbled past the Keeper and passed the ball into an open net.  Danville would pull a goal back when Lincoln miss played a ball in the back and gave up a breakaway.

Overall we are happy with the result. Everyone stepped up and played well and things are starting to come together at a good time for us.

Lincoln takes on Heartland CC. Thursday at 3pm at home.
