LC Head Coach Mark Tippett: Our match against Sauk Valley was another example of two evenly matched teams trading runs of points. We did not come through at a couple of key moments in both the second and fourth sets which really cost us chances at winning the match. Serving errors hurt us and we did not adjust well when Sauk started to block us more effectively. Our passing off of serve was strong again and, overall, we played well and gave ourselves a chance to win in each set. Against Prairie State we played a much steadier match and were able to control the tempo of the game. We still made some serving errors, but we were able to overcome them by siding out efficiently.
LC is off for Fall Break this week and will next take the court on Friday, November 17th at 6:30 pm for a home match against Robert Morris (Springfield).
