Two nights, two different shows, no charge

The Lincoln College Jazz Studies program will wrap up the spring semester with concerts on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26. Both concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Meyer Theatre in the Johnston Center for the Performing Arts on the Lincoln campus and last approximately 90 minutes. Admission is free; donations will be accepted. A silent auction will also be held each night as a fundraiser for the jazz studies program.

The concerts, titled “Reflection,” will honor the seniors in the jazz studies program; Lincoln College will graduate its first class of Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies students in May. Both concerts will feature the Lab Band, Jazz Combo, Saxophone Quartet, and the full Jazz Ensemble band, and three vocalists. Jazz studies director Scott Woger said some selections from the Friday concert may be repeated on Saturday, but not all. “Each group is planning for two different concerts. It won’t be the exact same show both nights,” said Woger.
