On Wednesday night, the Lincoln College Women’s basketball team traveled to Illinois Central College for its first Region 24 action of the season. The Lady Lynx fought hard from start to finish, but fell to the Cougars 69-46. The team struggled to stop ICC’s offense, allowing the Cougars to shoot 46% from the field and collect 22 assists. Erynn Young led LC with 13 points going 5 of 16 from the field. Tia Clark and Keona Bolden had 10 points each. The Cougars bench outscored the Lynx 20-5.
Lincoln (9-9) returns to action on Saturday at home as they host Parkland in their first conference game of the season at 1:00 PM.
