State Farm Companies Foundation Expands Scholarship Opportunity at Lincoln College

March 1, 2022

The State Farm Companies Foundation scholarship through Lincoln College has expanded to better assist adult students.

Accelerated Bridge to Education (ABE) and online students in sixteen central Illinois counties are now eligible to apply for the State Farm full-tuition scholarship. Additionally, the financial need cut-off has increased significantly. Undergraduate students with an Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) of $8,500 or less are eligible for the scholarship.

Students must have a 3.0 GPA with at least 50 credit hours earned, so most scholarship winners are graduates of community colleges in central Illinois. Additional eligibility criteria also apply.

The expansion includes ABE and online students in Bureau, Champaign, DeWitt, Ford, La Salle, Livingston, Logan, Macon, Marshall, McLean, Piatt, Peoria, Putnam, Tazewell, Sangamon, and Woodford counties.

The Accelerated Bridge to Education program is offered on four Illinois campuses in Lincoln, Normal, Peoria, and Oglesby. ABE allows adult students to earn a bachelor’s degree while attending class one night a week, supplemented by online learning, for five weeks. Online courses are eight weeks long. Students are able to take up to two courses at a time, earning up to 36 credit hours per year. Multiple start dates are offered throughout the year for ABE and online degrees, giving students greater flexibility.
