Lincoln College welcomes transfer students and offers generous transfer of credit policies. Official transcripts from each institution a student has attended are individually evaluated for transferable credit. Specific policies governing the transfer of credit may be found in the current Academic Catalog. Broadly speaking, Lincoln College will recognize transfer credit for courses meeting the following criteria:
The course was completed at a regionally accredited college or university, and
The course was completed with a passing grade. (Certain limitations may apply to transfer courses in which the student earned a final grade of “D”)
Lincoln College also participates in the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) and offers students the option of completing the IAI General Education Core Curriculum provided they are transferring at least 15 credits of IAI recognized coursework. For more information on IAI, please visit http://itransfer.org/.
Transferology is a web-based resource that can assist transfer students research how the courses they have completed or are planning to take at their current school would transfer to another institution. To get started, visit Transferology’s portal here to set up an account.
