When will be my last day of employment with Lincoln College?

The last day of employment with Lincoln College was May 13, 2022.

Will I receive severance pay?

Severance pay is available to qualifying employees who stay through the closure date of May 13, 2022, and complete institutional requirements. Refer to the Employee Payroll Memo concerning information on remaining payrolls and severance pay.

What happens to my unused vacation, sick, and personal time?

Only unused vacation time will be paid out for employees who terminate employment on or before May 13, 2022, per the Employee Handbook policy.

Can I apply for unemployment benefits?

You are eligible to apply for unemployment. Please reference the Illinois Department of Employment Security here for more information.

As a fulltime employee, what will happen to my benefit coverage?

Please refer to the HR Employee Verification and Loss of Coverage Letter that was provided to you during the employee checkout process, which provides information on COBRA and seeking out marketplace insurance coverage.

How can future employers contact college officials to verify employment?

You may use the employee verification letter that you received on your last day of employment with Lincoln College. You may E-mail requests to [email protected].

What services will Lincoln College offer me in finding employment?

Lincoln College hosted two career fairs for employees prior to closure and worked with the Illinois Work Net Center to provide outplacement services. The Career Services Center assisted employees with reviewing resumes, cover letters, and more. For additional assistance with your job search, the Illinois Work Net Center has available resources here.

How will I receive my mail?

Mail and packages that have been received, will be forwarded to your address we have on file. If your address changes, email your new contact information to [email protected].

What will be the last day of business operations with Lincoln College?

The last day of employment with Lincoln College was May 13, 2022. Lincoln College is currently working to complete the wind down phase; thus, some vendors may be needed to continue limited operations, past the May 13, 2022. Per each vendor contractual agreement, Lincoln College will provide written notice termination of services in advance and will be in contact to close out each account.

As an employee, how will I receive my tax information (W2, 1095-C)?

Tax information will be mailed to each employee per the address on record by January 31, 2023. If your address changes, email your new contact information to [email protected].

As a vendor, how will I receive my tax information (1099-MISC/NEC and other tax forms)?

Tax information will be mailed to each vendor/contractor per the company address on record by January 31, 2023. If your company address changes, email your new contact information to [email protected].

As a student, when will I receive my 1098-T?

The 1098-T will be mailed to students per the address on record by January 31, 2023. If your address changes, email your new contact information to [email protected].
