Lincoln Heritage Museum Grand Soirée Scheduled In-Person

Lincoln College’s annual gala premiere, The Grand Soirée, is returning Saturday, September 25, 2021.  The annual event celebrates the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln while helping the Lincoln Heritage Museum raise funds to continue to maintain its impressive collection and grow educational outreach efforts.


After hosting a virtual Week of Celebration event in 2020, The Grand Soirée will resume its traditional in-person event this year. The theme for 2021 is, “Roaring 20’s.” The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 25 at the Jack D. Nutt Arena in the Lincoln Center, adjacent to the Museum. Business or evening dress is requested (black tie or period dress optional).


The event includes a cocktail reception, live and silent auction, dinner, and dancing.


The Grand Soirée began as a University Hall restoration fundraiser in 1975. Since 1978, it has served as the primary fundraising event for the Lincoln Heritage Museum.


All of the net proceeds from the black-tie optional event go directly towards the conservation efforts of historical artifacts as well as the educational outreach component of Lincoln Heritage Museum to further its mission to interpret the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln and be an academic resource for the community.
