Overview

The Office for Disability Services (ODS) works to ensure that students with disabilities have equal opportunity to participate in Lincoln College programs, courses, and activities. Lincoln College supports the American Disabilities Act (ADA) which provides equal opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency.

 

Accommodations for Students

Qualified students may receive the following:

  • Academic accommodations such as extended test time
  • Housing accommodations, such as a private room
  • Temporary injury accommodations
  • Cafeteria accommodations

 

How to Receive Services
  1. Contact the Office for Disability Services
  2. Complete and submit all ODS registration forms;
    1. ODS Registration Form
    2. Diagnosing Professional Form OR provide documentation from diagnosing treating professional.
    3. High School IEP which includes reevaluation paperwork from the past three years.
  3. Meet with ODS to discuss the impact of the disability, accommodation history, academic goals, strengths, challenges, and requested accommodations. ODS may request additional documentation.
  4. The student and ODS develop an accommodation plan based on documentation.
  5. Students can now request accommodation letters to be sent to specific instructors identifying the student's accommodations. (The student should also meet with the instructors to discuss how these accommodations may look within their class)

Returning Student?
  • If you’ve already registered with ODS and need a letter for your teachers this semester, submit a request via [email protected]

 

Housing Accommodations
  1. Contact the Office of Disability Services
  2. Complete and submit all ODS registration forms;
    1. ODS Registration Form
    2. Diagnosing Professional Form OR provide documentation from diagnosing treating professional.
    3. Complete the Disability Housing Accommodation Request Form
  3. Request needs to be completed no less than 60 days before the individual intends to move into college housing
  4. ODS office will respond to approve or deny housing request
